Bozidar Vitas was born in 1939 in the city of Beograd, Serbia.

He became interested in creative photography in 1957. and has taken part at over 236 group exhibitions in the country and abroad, receiving more than 49 awards.

Bozidar Vitas has had 95 personal exhibitions in Serbia and abroad.

In FIAP organization, he holds the distinctions AFIAP (2008.)

In the Photo Association of Serbia, he holds the title Candidate Master of Photography, and President of the Photo Association of Serbia Councile.

He has been President of the Artist Railroad Association of Serbia since 2004.
